Where can outside air inlets and outgoing air outlets be placed?

The aspiration of the outside air should preferably be carried out above ground level on the northern side of the building (under no circumstances the southern roof). The aspirated air should be as dust free and odour free as possible.

The aspiration under a roof overhang has proved well and at the same time prevents the aspiration of snow. The air can, however, also be aspirated via a roof hood on the northern side through an external wall (for example WC or garage) or via a duct with 180-degree bend which emerges from the ground at an inconspicuous place.

The outgoing air outlet can be positioned at every place where the low odour and noise emissions are undisturbing. Roof hoods and outlets in big light wells have proven well. Outlets on the western side of buildings have caused changes in the visual appearance of the facade (moisture) in exceptional cases.
