Heat recovery

A room ventilation system with heat recovery guarantees an outright noticeable decrease in heating costs. Since the heat exchanger integrated in the ventilation unit uses more than 90% of the exhaust air heat to pre-heat the incoming fresh air. In this way, the invested energy isn’t lost. It is simply supplied back to the living space.

Types of heat exchangers & heat recovery

The exhaust air is filtered upstream of the heat exchanger, flows through the cross counterflow heat exchanger and is discharged to the outside by a fan. The cool outside air is also filtered in the ventilation system and subsequently absorbs the energy from the exhaust air in the cross counterflow heat exchanger and is supplied to the rooms by a second fan. Saving heating costs by the use of heat recovery

The air which is discharged from every building contains much energy. In winter, it is considerably warmer than the outside air and additionally contains water vapour from which heat is discharged by means of condensation. At the same time, when ventilating, the inflowing cold outside air must first be heated by the heating system. Details
