No, since this is a fresh air system only and not an air conditioning system with humidifier and recirculating air mode where bacteria-related problems can occur due to poor maintenance.
Inflowing air is filtered and dry; the relative humidity is even reduced since the fresh air is heated in the heat exchanger. In this way, there is no risk of bacterial contamination.
The exhaust air is constantly discharged to the outside and is cooled in the heat exchanger completely separated from the fresh air – bad air is discharged to the outside – the heat remains in the building.
Studies have shown that the supply air usually is even considerably less polluted than the outside air!
