Can the ventilation system also be used for cooling in summer?

Due to the small amounts of air, a room ventilation system allows only for a limited cooling effect.
The installation of a cooling unit with high power consumption is usually not profitable. The condensate, which is produced during the cooling process, can also lead to unnecessary hygienic problems. In addition, units with such cooling must not be taken into account when rating the ventilation system according to the Energy Savings Regulation.
A certain air cooling effect by means of a geothermal heat exchanger is reasonable. In this way, warm outside air is prevented from entering the rooms, heating them even more. At the same time, it provides the advantage that the outside air is preheated due to the geothermal heat exchanger so that the system can be continuously operated without having to switch to frost protection in winter.
